We have just returned from a family wedding in the Ice House. What can I say.....superb!
Having worked in a 4 star hotel for several years, I suppose I might be a little more critical than others but there is nothing I can fault about my stay in the Ice House.
We arrived early evening for my sister’s reception. It was my first time at a function here. The hotel really does lend itself to a very relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
The food was a delight and the quality and attention to detail was a credit to all involved.
Our room "The Wedgewood" was clean and very well presented. Little touches like cookies with a hand written note were a delightful touch. One family with children told us their children’s names were on the cookies...how’s that for personal touches! There was such a lovely feeling in the room that only because it was a family wedding we would have spent all our time there. We had breakfast in our room the next morning, freshly ground coffee, lovely fry, what more could you want. Check out was very efficient. We were sorry we had to leave and are really looking forward to our return visit as soon as possible. Congrats and well done to all involved. It’s a credit to you all.

We attended a wedding in the hotel in May, and everything was amazing. From the first experience at check-in to the quality of the rooms, the standard of the food and the staff, everything was on an equal par, it was a really enjoyable weekend. We would highly recommend it. More hotels should look at the Ice House for service and food standards.

We have just returned from a fabulous weekend at the Ice House Hotel where we attended a family wedding. The Ice House is on a beautiful setting of the River Moy, to which we had a spectacular view from our room in the Moy Suite. Everything we experienced over the weekend was second to none. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable, the food was to die for, the staff were wonderful, it really was the break of a lifetime.
The 2 managers Claire & Dara couldn't have done enough for both families & friends and were extremely helpful throughout the weekend. The smiles & service followed from the top down through all the staff who greeted everyone with the same manner and were very impressive & friendly.
It was a memorable occasion made even more special by everyone in the hotel and the feedback from the other guests was that they could fault nothing.
Thanks to all the staff at the Ice House Hotel it truly was a wonderful experience.

Myself and my new husband recently got married and chose The Ice House for our reception. I just wanted to leave a little note to say just how delighted we were with everything. From start to finish Claire and Dara made the preparations as easy as possible for us. We loved the little touches, like the personalised cookies and dressing gowns for the children, the rose petals on our bed and the champagne and strawberries. We were made to feel so special all day. All of our guests were gushing about how helpful and friendly all the staff were and how fab the food was. No one could believe that the 100+ meals were all cooked to perfection. I can't say enough good things about The Ice House. Thank you all very much- it will definitely be a day we will never forget.

It was the tranquil feel of the place and the amazing decor - a real blend of the old and the new, in a simple, airy, light-filled space which leads onto the outdoor river terrace with uninterrupted views over the Moy - that initially made us choose The Ice House for our wedding.
However, what got our guests really talking was the amazing wedding food....many remarked that it was the nicest wedding meal they had ever eaten, and how staff couldn't have done any more to meet their requests.
For us, I think what we will remember most was the seemingly effortless attention of the staff to the minute details, from our requests regarding set-up for our ceremony to the surprises in our room on the wedding night. Everything was just so perfect - an unforgettable day, Thanks again!
