Salmon Fishing Breaks on the River Moy.

We are on the banks of the world famous River Moy which comprises Ireland's most prolific waters for salmon fishing Ireland.

This magnificent river has produced over 7,000 salmon to the rod over the years 2001-2006. Offering a variety of fishing including top class fly water, spinning and worming.

 Ballina Salmon Festival 10th -17th July 2011

The Ballina Salmon Festival is now the leading community based festival in the West of Ireland. Every year over 200,000 people descend on the North Mayo capital to enjoy an eight-day festival that is estimated to bring over €6 million to the local economy.

Built on the banks of the majestic River Moy, Ballina is a warm, welcoming and hospitable town.  It is a distinctive area, a place apart, renowned for its relaxed atmosphere that falls against the backdrop of the iconic Cathedral, and the winding waters from the Ridgepool to the Quay.  The North Mayo capital, Ballina is the ideal place for visitors to base themselves in whilst enjoying and exploring the extensive region of unspoilt beauty spanning Mayo.

Salmon Festival Casting Day 10th July

This year's Casting Day held on Sunday, the 10th July at the banks of the world famous River Moy will see a multitude of events taking place.  The main focus of the event will be on the art fly casting and fly tying.  The day will also feature a number of casting competitiions for professionals, amateurs, ladies and juveniles.  Free fly casting tuition will be provided for anyone interested by some of Irelands top casting instructors.
